The Seven Award Categories
Each category recognizes a distinct kind of excellence so manufacturers of different sizes, maturity levels, and use cases all have a way to be seen. The goal is breadth and inclusivity: not just the biggest enterprise, but the scrappiest newcomer; not just the technology power user, but the person who quietly holds the whole thing together.
Team of the Year
The highest-profile award. Goes to a team that went all-in and proved it.
What It Recognizes
A food & beverage manufacturer whose team transformed their quality, food safety, or production operations in a measurable way. Multi-site rollouts and cross-departmental collaboration score highly.
Judging Criteria
- Breadth of SafetyChain adoption across teams, functions, and/or sites
- Measurable operational, financial, or compliance outcomes achieved
- Quality and depth of storytelling in the nomination
- Evidence of a culture shift — not just technology deployment
- Strength of cross-functional champion network
Past Winners
- 2025: Wayne-Sanderson Farms (23 plants, $1M+ projected annual savings, 7M records submitted)
- 2024: Westrock Coffee
Nomination Process
Who Can Nominate
Nominations are open to everyone. Self-nominations are strongly encouraged — they're historically the most detailed and authentic.
Customer Self-Nomination
Strongly encouraged. You submit your own story. Self-nominations are often the most detailed and authentic.
Peer Nomination
A colleague at the same company nominates someone on their team.
Cross-Company Nomination
A partner, supplier, or industry contact nominates a customer. If you know a great story from another organization, we want to hear it.
Internal SafetyChain Nomination
A SafetyChain team member may nominate a customer they work closely with. No great story should go untold.
